I think Colin Powell would decline to run. Maybe we should try to persuade him anyway. A number of people I know, both liberal and conservative, say they'd feel a lot safer if he were President.
I can't think of a better man, either. The best candidates often don't want to run for President.

Hopefully no one, I know I sure as hell don't. America won't be ready for a black president until the blacks get the entitlement problem out of their head. No one owes blacks anything. Gettign a black president would make every black man, woman and child think they're owed reperations, and have a chance of getting it(which will never happen)
