Well, India classifies people by casts. That was supposedly abolished, but I understand that that still remains. You cannot move to another cast no matter what. People are NOT created equal in India.
Indians worship cows and monkeys. They have nursing homes for cows, whereas people die of hunger on the streets.
They refuse to eat food cooked in utensils where food for Christians has been previously prepared.
They worship a million of very weird divinities, including tigers. Tigers can eat people, but the inhabitants usually do nothing. They believe that tigers are gods.
Muslims and Indians hate each other.
In India there was a bunch of people that worshiped the goddess Kali, and made human sacrifices in her name. They used a handkerchief called "rhumal" to strangle their victims. I am not entirely sure that they have disappeared.
They bathe in the Ganges river, in spite of the contamination the rives carries, because they believe that the river is sacred

what makes india distinct is that the people within fight among themselves so then dont get a chance to prove their power like rest of the countries,, kerala wants its states to be a nation,, they want a country called kerala,, talk about that to be united we stand divided we fall...people feel uneducated politicians can rule the educated better dont u think... how smart is that take for example lallu,,,indians r not invaders cause they r busy with their own issues,,, they cannot sort out small issues with its own neighbours like pakistan,, what will they sort out in the big mean world... the only thing distinct is that it its population.... more the merrier they say.. ha ha ha

Indian culture has been honed and toned to perfection for over 4000 yrs.
India is like a sponge, absorbing and integrating peoples from all over the world with easy acceptance.
For example when the Arabs conquered Persia in the 7th Century A.D., the Parsees fled to India rather than give up their Zoroastrian religion. They came before the king who asked them only one question; "How will you integrate into Indian society". The Parsee leader took a glass of water filled to the brim. He put a spoon of sugar into the glass. Not a drop of water spilled over. "Like this", the leader replied. The Raja gave them land in Bombay for settlement.
Our Indian system of education is among the best in the world. This is why Indians shine in their professions in each and every country.
Our Indian sages and gurus are revered all over the world for their mastery of the way to live and quality of life which has been very elegantly elucidated in the scriptures.
Cruel Indian kings were only the invaders who had come into the country and conquered, and not ethnic Indian kings.

You have Bollywood.
You have a great culture and religion that is lost in western countries.
You still care about traditions (although that has some disadvantages too)
You may not be rich (money isn't everything) but you are rich in knowledge of cultural sort.
You have immense potential!
You catch up in technics.
You have never been as arrogant as USA, invading as Britain, not cruel like Iran, Iraq and USA.
That all makes you a very distinct country.
But please work on education, rights for everyone, and clean energy!!!

Well, the people in India are VERY smart. I'm not making this up either. I've met at least 10 people from there because my mom works with some who emigrated here for work.

The main religion in India is Hinduism.

Their clothing style is different too. They wear the wine-colored between the eyebrows and togas.

The Republic of India, commonly known as India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India has a coastline of over seven thousand kilometres, bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east. India borders Pakistan to the west;[1] People's Republic of China, Nepal and Bhutan to the north-east; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. In the Indian Ocean, India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, Maldives and Indonesia.

Home to the Indus Valley Civilization and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history. Four major world religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated here, while Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Zoroastrianism arrived in the first millennium CE and shaped India's variegated culture. Gradually annexed by the British East India Company from the early 18th century and colonised by Great Britain from the mid-19th century, India became a modern nation-state in 1947 after a struggle for independence marked by widespread use of nonviolent resistance as a means of social protest.

With the world's fourth largest economy in purchasing power and the second fastest growing large economy, India has made rapid progress in the last decade, especially in information technology. Although India's standard of living is projected to rise sharply in the next half-century, it currently battles high levels of poverty, persistent malnutrition, and environmental degradation. A multi-lingual, multi-ethnic society, India is also home to a diversity of wildlife in a variety of protected habitats.
