The best thing that ever worked for me was to turn the defrost on high for about five minutes which loosens the ice from below then take the hard side of a window scrapper to break it up into chunks that will slide off.

The only thing I can think of is to pour very hot water on it so you can melt most of it or enough of it so you could use an ice scraper on it. But before you do that, take a snow brush to it. I have a feeling most of the cover on it is snow and you'd be able to get most of it off once you break through the outside layer of ice. Good luck!

Well start with a scraper get off as much as you can with that.
then start your car and turn on the heater close the windows.if you can drive it around a bit I would the heat from the inside should help the melting process

Pop it gently with a rubber mallet until it cracks. Once a peice is gone it wil slide off. Or pull it into a heated garage and let it melt.

clear the windows with hot water and ice scraper with defrost on in car. Then take it to a car wash. On the wash setting a car wash uses hot water.

do you have a blow torch? If not, get a bunch of ice picks and invite your friends over for a margarita party
