I say this Mavs have always been a good team in the 2000 era could any1 lead the mavs too a title besides dirk yes when they had Steve Nash they had a very good team when they had nash with dirk and the rest of the team only thing about the team when they had Nash was that they didnt play any D they could score alot but no defense so if they would have had that when they had Nash, Walker, Finley and the rest of the team playing D then yes they would had have 2 titles by now but now they are play D and have a pretty good team like they did when they had nash and them so yes they will win the title theres no other team out west i dont think that can compete with the Mavs besides the Suns and if the suns go down then the mavs will go to the finals the east is pretty much dead and west is kind of the same Jazz overrated, spurs to old, and the suns are only team that will give the mavs a run for there money so we will see Nash and the suns and dirk and the mavs

Josh Howard and Jason Terry could do it, they're definitely underrated on that team because everyone looks at Dirk as the best player, but Howard seems to have a bigger impact on both ends of the floor.
People always have that stat, that When Howard scores more than 20 point, the Mavericks have some ridiculous 30-2 record... something around there.

The Mavs are one of those teams this year that is rare to find.
This team could actually lose Dirk to injury, and while not continue blowing everyone out of the water they could still win because it is a team full of leaders, Josh Howard, Deavon George, Jason Terry, Devin Harris, Erick Dampier, Jerry Stackhouse, heck even DaSagna Diop will step up if someone isn't playing well or not even at all. these Mavs have proven all season that they can play through injury and not miss a beat.
Houston has also done a good job with playing without Yao and McGrady ifffy from night to night with his back.

I think both Jason Terry and Josh Howard will step up and lead the Mavs to the NBA title. JET will provide the Mavs with shots down the stretch, and Josh Howard will provide the Mavs with the defensive pressure they need.

they are a great team. every player has skills in thier own way. howard is just a impact by being on the court. terry is a good shooter but can't shoot a lot or he starts to cool down. erick dampier hardlly will miss a close shot. Dirk is like a spirtual leader for the team.

well of course Jason Terry and Josh Howard can! they both are taking part in the Alll-Star Weekend. they dont always score the most but they can if they want.
