Seriously, I have seen some pretty boring men's basketball games and people never complain about that!?!

In case some of you haven't noticed...there are women who can dunk the ball i.e. Candace Parker who kick every males but in the McDonald's Slam Dunk contest a few years back...so saying women can't dunk is a pathetic answer. And just because men like to beat each other up and show off doesn't neccessarily mean there more entertaining to watch...if ya ask me it's really disgusting considering basketball is a TEAM sport.

It is slower, lower scoring, and less flashy than the men's game. When you compare the two, the men are more exciting.

b/c they are not as athletic or high flying as the men. ( remember how excited everyone was when lisa leslie dunked the ball during a game? u woulda thought they won the championship)
but they do seem to be more fundamentally sound than males.
one reason why its hard for me to watch women's basketball is just the delivery of a jumpshot. i know not everyone has the delivery of a mark price or a ray allen (while some have the ugly j of a bill cartwright or unorthodox form of reggie miller or peja) but some of the releases ive seen of the wnba players are pretty horrific (regardless if it goes in or not)

The men's game has more "highlight reel" plays. They focus more on flash then the fundamentals. This is also why the US team hasn't won an international competition for a while. But it is more entertaining. The women's game is about fundamentals and he basics. The skill level isn't the same. And most guys don't want to watch women's sports unless the women are hot and showing skin.

I think because the girlz know how to work together as a team and they don`t care just about the points they make. And yes I do see some boring mens games once in a while. I think it`s just because they just like to the dunks and other pathetic skills.

It's not that their games are boring. They can be pretty exciting. It's just that men's games are so much more exciting. It's like when somebody gets dunked on... that makes the crowd go wild. The physical power of some of the NBA players is pretty impressive. You just don't see very many women that physically powerfull. There are stong, big women out there, but these guys are bigger, stronger, and faster.

There's less parity in the women's game. Usually contests, such as college games are completely one sided, the depth pool in terms of talent is much shallower than that for men. Also very few girls have verticals over 25 inches, and so they can't do the same moves that guys do. It's all about the hang time.

Yeah, i think of ladies' basketball is uninteresting. Kinda places you to sleep with the lack of ability of up-pace play and athleticism that extra adult men' basketball gamers have. "quickly destroy" is an oxymoron. and that i'm uncertain what the requirement is for a woman to play on a adult men' crew; ask whoever is in fee of athletics on your college to confirm specifics. yet whilst there's a woman crew at your college, don't be concerned; you will no longer be able to play with the adult men. except i'm very lots incorrect, this is purely obtainable for a woman to qualify for the adult men' crew if there are not adequate ladies fascinated/in a position to form a ladies' squad. EDIT: Uh, acleex...did you basically say stable, thrilling communities makes a solid, thrilling pastime? isn't that form of...obvious? this is the actuality that it so not often happens that makes ladies' basketball uninteresting to maximum folk, myself coated.

There is a lot of palming on the dribble.
The shots are always rushed and their shooting percentage is only about 20% of shots.
The defense is sloppy and annoying. The turn-over ratio is higher
They shoot, run and defend like girls.
When you are used to seeing the best play in the NBA and then you go try to watch a WNBA game, its not very entertaining.
Granted there are some good players in the WNBA league, but there are not enough complimentary players on the team with the stars to make the teams that exciting. NO one wants to watch one good player play with a bunch of slower sloppy players.
They run a lot - if you call that entertainment why not watch a marathon.

You people who claim that women are more fundamentally sound have no knowledge of the game. NBA guys don't just wake up with the ability to make fantastic plays! It takes great fundamentals and skill before you can start trying "flashy" moves. This argument is ridiculous.

i watch womens basketball all the time i dont really care what people think about there basketball it dont matter high score, slam dunks, i dont care about all that i wanna c whos gonna be the next star in the NBA and WNBA

Because they're shallow and think that only men can play sport.
But as a lifelong UConn fan I can say that sometimes women's games are more interesting then men's they don't like it because they have low scores which is good because they're playing Defense.
