First of all take a calculator, the math portion is simply algebra nothing to be scared about, I went into that test tought I was going to do bad(since the top two students of the class got like a 950 or less) I really didnt care what I got, it ended up I got an 1140. But the math portion you just need a calculator, the english portion is harder, they had some words I had never seen.

I really recommend getting a book at the library, at the minimum. It's probably more useful to buy one so that you can write in it. Or if you're in serious need of help, you could try to find a tutor (although it's too late to enroll in an SAT prep course).

Really though, with a little focused studying I think you can greatly improve your score. I have the same problem as you--math is my worst subject! But I still got into an awesome college with a low-ish score. One thing I highly recommend if your score comes back and you're not happy with it: take the SATII math test. I found it much more straightforward than the SATI math section, and scored a lot higher (670 SATI, 740 SATII). On the other hand, I retook the SATI 3 times trying to get a higher math score, and it never improved! So the SATII really balanced out my math performance overall.

Don't be worried. I'm in eighth grade and I took it; it was actually quite easy.
Make sure to take a calculator with fresh batteries. Graphing or scientific is best, but stay away from four-functions.
Realize that you will not have to memorize any formulas for this test. They will be provided at the beginning of the section. Know that ALL numbers are real numbers; none are imaginary.
Studying is a friend on this test; buy an SAT help book and take a practice test in it. Don't try to cram facts into your head; it is not an IQ test.
Good luck with your testing!

Take the sample tests on the computer.
