I still watch, hoping for some creativity and excitement, but seeing Nate Robinson win last year after attempting a dunk 13/14 times before actually making it is so disheartening.

Not really, just because the major superstars can't or don't participate like LeBron James, or Vince Carter. They don't let the older stars like V.C. in it anymore, they want the young guns to be in it. LeBron on the other hand just doesn't go.

I didn't like the attempt thing either, and how many times he tried it but it was a good dunk. I think that Iguodala should have won anyway, that pass off the back of the backboard was crazy.

I don't like that Tyrese Thomas said he was going for the money in the beginning either.

It sucks big donkey balls. The Lakers Cavs game yesterday had dunks by LeBron and Kobe, that's the real dunk contest, and all that I need to see. Not some amateur wanna-bes who take 15 tries in order to make 1. They should go back to the old school, you miss yours then you lose out on that turn. Next!

i think weve just about seen everything there is to see. i dont get too excited for the dunk contest anymore. not since richardson and carter were in it. punks like tyrus thomas are in it for the money and im tired of seeing nate robinson missing 20 times and end up winning it all. and i dont know why dwights in it, he so big and it wont be fun to watch.

Naw, it's been weak since the year Vince Carter competed in it. That and that kid from VChicago saying he's only doing it for free money pretty much tells everyone what the value of the dunk contest has come down to. At one time it was an honor to be in it, now the NBA is chasing players down & paying them to be in it, nuff said!

i get up for the dunks (over the past few years some sick new dunks have come about) but the players that are doing em'...no. a lot of the players in it aren't established stars and this will be the highlight of their career.

jordan vs. nique...how can u not be excited?

nate robinson vs. tyrus thomas...need i say more?

No I think it's stupid that they don't let the Stars compete in the only competition that people want to see especially with the history of Jordan in the slam dunk competitions. Instead they let them compete in the contests that no one wants to see like the 3 point shoot out and skills challenge. But hey Stern always has great ideas right?

ok, i'm getting suspicious. Why do you communicate over with it by using fact the "Sprite Slam Dunk Contest"? maximum each and every fan i comprehend in basic terms refers to it by using fact the Slam Dunk Contest. No company sponsorship stated.

nah, i'd rather see the judges panel face off in a dunk contest despite how old some of them are!

plus last year with Nate was a farce, AI jnr should have won!

No, but I feel for Nate since I'm about his height and I can only dunk once every like thousand tries, and everything has to be timed perfectly. You know it's really hard to dunk what you're 5'8"-5'9" ish...
