Not necessarily. Hamsters and rabbits are rodents. I'm allergic to all rodents, but I don't have a problem with cats or dogs.

Depends on the person. I have had just about every animal known to man and I can say that i am allergic to just about everything at some level. The only things that really set me off were cats (just being in the same house started my asthma) and my guinea pig if she rubbed her hair under my chin would cause a skin rash. No other strong allergic reations to any other animal. I'm sure everyone will be different.

Not necessarily. My daughter is allergic to both cats and dogs, but not horses or rabbits. To know for sure, you'd have to be tested for the particular animal you are wondering about. I'll bet you're not allergic to keeping a goldfish, though!
