Everytime I wash my bras and once they are dried there are lumps that are noticeable when I have a shirt on and it is so embarrassing. How do I get the lumps out and keep them out?

for padded bras hand wash and hang dry to avoid lumps. if your worried about loosing shape while you hang/flat dry the garment use a pair of rolled socks to help keep the shape.

Hand washing is an option--a sucky one, but still an option. Do not put your bras in the dryer. Make sure you use a delicate cycle when using the washing machine. Use cold water, never hot. Invest in a lingerie/delicates bag or a bra baby.

To get lumps out: If they don't work their way out through washing in the above-mentioned methods, smooth them out with your hands. Lightly run your hands across your bra (it helps if you wear it while you do it) and push the lumps down to the bottom. They won't be completely gone, but you shouldn't be able to see them under your clothes. It might take a few times depending on how severe the lumps are. If there are people around, be prepared to get strange looks, laughed at or stared at. You look a little stupid doing it, but I do it all the time.

If they have lumps its usually because they are padded, in that case, you are better off just buying a new one. DON'T wash padded bras, lace bras, or gel bras in the washing machine. Usually what I do is leave them in cold water with a little detergent and wash the band and straps, the cups depending on how well formed they are I will wash with a toothbrush gently or just rub a little with my fingers so they don't lose their form. On bras that are not padded or formed, then I would wash in the washer inside a lingerie bag.

It sounds like the quality of the bras you are buying arent any good. The other thing you shouldnt be doing is putting your bras in the dryer. I always use a garment bag when washing mine, then hang them on a hanger until they are dry. This way they don't lose their shape and last alot longer.

i don't know what exactly are ur lump on bra? i mean if they are permanent then u can try to trim those lumps by cutting with scissors. or take a shaving blade and shave gently. well it should work. actually even my g/f had the same problem and i too did the same for her. she was happy.

Are you machine washing them when they should be hand washed as delicate?

Ive had this happen before too with tshirt style bras. It helps if you re shape them when wet and dry them carefully so that they arent sqaushed etc.

I never dry my bras in the dryer, I hang them up to dry. It makes your bras last longer and prevents damage.
