::We did it once with the POLL tax and consequently we were given community tax, which is unfortunately worse!! (but we weren't to know). We then did it with fuel duty and most of the country shut down until the police started to arrest individuals ( totally unfair) which made the majority scared as they didn't want a criminal record! The powers that be always pick on an individual to create a panic among us, at which point the 'fiery' Brit gives up!! If we were all to act like our French counterparts then we would control the government no problem!!! Basically do as we say or you will be out of office at the next election ( all politicians are on such a good crack that they dare not lose their jobs)!

Interesting question really. If everyone was united there wouldn't be much a UK Government could do after all we are supposed to be a democracy and if the general public said we have had enough I could see a Government collapse.
Let take for instance the Council tax, a number of cases have been highlighted in recent years where old age pensioners have been sent to jail for non payment of this tax. Now if the general public moved as one and said 'enough is enough' the local councils couldn't cope without the money, the Government wouldn't be able to do anything about it. The police would be powerless, the courts couldn't cope and our jails as we all full well know are at bursting point. Local and national Government would be paralysed.

Under Bush and the Homeland Security act, we would all be labeled as Terrorists and thrown in prison with no hope for trial or parole.
This countrys present leaders, and not so far past leaders, have
placed so many restrictions on our rights as individuals that we have very few freedoms left.
Read Bush's Homeland Security act. It will scare the pants off you. Sounds more and more like Nazi Germany under Hitler than the United States of America founded by the people, for the people, with unaliable rights.
Many people are afraid to speak their minds, I'm not one, because they are afraid of being reported as a terrorist. Everyday, after I speak my mind or answer a question honestly, I wonder if the FBI or CIA will come knocking and throw me in prison. I, too, was afraid for a while, but decided that if everyone would stand up for their rights, and possibley be thrown in prison, there wouldn't be any tax payers left to line the pockets of those FAT CATS in Washington.

not enough people are aware or care its not there problem or position, even if it is a big deal we just watch it on tv and notthing more, there needs to be more participation, i just wrote my senator for the first time if that does anything, if we all refused there has to be people that will bear the blunt of the situation and sacifice which people arnt in the postiion to take a chance with. I would say if there was enough people going to court and refusing and making a big deal then they couldnt do much but revist there has to be more and better represention when these laws are made

I too am interested in Unity, there's no point saying no to the gov. You can suggest alternatives which will be taken into considderation if they are feasible and sustainable. I think Local government is the best answer, get to know your local MP and suggest to him that you aren't happy with proceedings. If you can give them reasons why and suggest alternatives that are better then you may change the country for the better.

Muslims are actually not "attacking your united states of america." You adult men are killing eachother and are blaming others. Why is it that the "muslim" crimes are protruding? The "muslims" that are killing all people isn't meant to be. in actuality, homicide is against islam(the muslim religon) "each because of the fact the Muslims destroyed the towers, this united states of america has started a speedy decline in direction of some forgiving regime the place individuals no longer have a voice" are you blaming your undesirable shape on us? What do you advise individuals have not have been given any voice? all people has voice. all people is in a position to insult any muslim at will. YOUR residing evidence of it!!!

The best revolution occurs at the voting polls. If you want change, you have to vote. Write letters to your representatives, participate in organized protest. For instance, 3 weeks ago there was an organized peace rally in Washington D.C., over a million people walked the square. Demonstrations for your beliefs are peaceful ways of bringing about change.

That's happened in other countries...Mainly socialist ones. We are responsible for the people that we elect. More than half of the population agrees on one candidate.
There are plenty of things that you could do to resolve an issue. For example, start a petition, protest, get the word out. What exactly are you against in the government?

You have a very simple view of government.
Do this...get 10 people in a room and ask them all a question...the same question to each person...i bet you'll have 10 different answers.
There is no way that EVERYONE one is going to agree to the same thing.
Get real!

Assuming you are talking about the United States when you talk about "our country," we have the Consitutional right to Petition for a Redress of Greivances." That's one of the many things that makes this country so great! Also, exercise your right to vote!
