U can't say that love is blind because it wears off after a certain amount of time regardless of who u are or who u are with. Love is just a state that u go into and come out of at certain points in relationships. When u are in love someone can be the most physically beautiful person in the world to u. When ur not, the same person can still be good looking but not as exciting. I think what really keeps people together ( and what people mistake for love) is the committment that u develop with people. Love is just a sort of high that people reach and when it's gone they think that the relationship should end. What really keeps people together isn't that feeling of love, it's the fact that u know that the person that ur with is great for u and is someone who u really want to be with for things other than looks. Committment is blind. Love is just a temporary,but strong, biproduct of attraction that has nothing to do with who u like or how long u should stay with them.

Love is blind to the small human quirks and faults. That is, "blindness" means we accept that our spouse isn't perfect when he doesn't put the toilet seat down and we don't nag the hell out of him for 20 years over it.
