Please someone explain good/bad in doing so? Will I lose any data ...If I want to download some movie clips it says I should enable Java Script..help!!

You can enable javascript for just the duration of downloading the movie clips, if you wish. All javascript is, is a scripting language that allows tasks, as part of the contents of a web page, to be performed on *your* computer, instead of on the computer that sent the web page to you.

Again, your best bet is to enable javascript *only* for the duration of the download. Enabling/disabling is done in the Tools/Options section of your browser.
