I am looking to build a home in The Coachella Valley area. I am having a difficult time locating the cost per square foot to build. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

www.houseplans.com is the best I have seen for this. Its not exactly what you are looking for, but they do have cost to build estimates for their various floorplans that should give you a good rule of thumb.

You may also want to check with a home insurance agent in the area. They routinely have to quote replacement costs for specific areas and may have even better and more realistic estimates.

he standard cost per foot in America right now is $200.00 per square foot. this is for "standard" building materials and does not count for
luxuries such as granite counter tops etc.
