Urea has healing properties.

It's the uric acid which is used. And it goes into exfoliating and cleansing lotions because it IS an acid, but a very gentle one. Won't do damage to the dermal layers while it removes the epidermals. It's also safer than synthetic acids because it's completely natural. Won't spark an allergic reaction.
