"On the Federal judiciary I would want judges who are strict constructionists because I am. I’m a lawyer. I’ve argued cases in the Supreme Court. I’ve argued cases in the Court of Appeals in different parts of the country. I have a very, very strong view that for this country to work, for our freedoms to be protected, judges have to interpret not invent the Constitution. Otherwise you end up, when judges invent the constitution, with your liberties being hurt. Because legislatures get to make those decisions and the legislature in South Carolina might make that decision one way and the legislature in California a different one. And that’s part of our freedom and when that’s taken away from you that’s terrible. President Bush has the great model because I think as the President he appointed some really good ones and both of them are former colleagues of mine, Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito. Justice Scalia is a former colleague of mine. Somebody that…I think Chief Justice Robert

Above is a quote from him. Since he is openly pro-choice and pro-gay, as a liberal of conservative, would the above quote make you more or less likely to vote for him?

I agree with the quote, however, the other issues are too important to be ignored. I would only vote for him if he is the republican nominee. Even a liberal republican is more trustworthy than any democrat. HOWEVER, I will certainly not vote for his liberal *** in the primary. Right now Huckabee is the only one I really like, the guy from Kansas is ok also.

Well, I had never heard that quote before. I am a republican and have helped out at Charleston County Republican Women's Club rallies to help the party candidates in the Charleston area. Initially, I thought I would support Giuliani because I can't stand arrogant McCain and I'm not sure if Romney can swing the votes with his mormon background, but I'm not so sure what I think of Giuliani. I might have to end up voting for Hillary, now, as bad as that sounds.

Anyone who advocates Bush as a great model or president needs his head examined. I voted GOP once in 1984, that was also the last time I voted GOP. And, I've regretted it ever since. Giuliani would not make a good president at all.

I don't like the fact he supported Alitio and Roberts. However, he is a good man and did a lot of good things for New York even before 9/11. Giuliani was a good mayor, a good prosecutor, and I like him.

Running a city, even a major city, is a far cry from running the most powerful country in the world. He has no international experience. I can't see him being successful at this time. Plus, are Southern and Midwestern Bible thumpers going to support a moderate Republican from New York City for President?

I'd be happy if the Republicans gave him the nod. The Dem nominee would wipe the floor with him cause of stories like this:http://www.dmiblog.net/archives/2006/05/rudy_giuliani_the_hostile_take.html
In New York these days, he could'nt win a permit to sell fruit on a street corner.
