Psychology wise, why is it that many men make bad decisions when it comes to seeking out sexual encounters?

Have people been watching Dateline's "To Catch A Predetor"? It's just amazing to me the constant flow of men that seem to lose all common sense in the seach of sex.... and in these cases, with children! It's become too much of a regular thing in our world today to not question otherwise normal men for making these kind of choices and some how ignoring what is right and wrong. It's like they get an erection and lose a "brain"! Any doctors care to address this one?

Unfortunately, deviant sexual behavior is more widely accepted in today's societies.

Many people somehow believe that they can break down some sexual mores without any ramifications. An example is sex outside of marriage. That was considered verboten fifty years ago. Now, that kind of activity is widely accepted and is commonplace.

So, as society continues to accept more deviant behavior, humans will then take the next step in depravity.

If no moral repercussions exist, no boundaries for deviant behavior exist either.
