in one of her interviews, jk mentioned that she was stressed out killing a character in book 6.. and it is not easy for her to kill her characters.. the catch is that she did not mention about killing sirius this time. so is there a chance that sirius may still be alive?

There's "a chance" she's going to tell us the whole thing was just a dream Harry had while shut up in the cupboard under the stairs. What's the point of all this speculation? When the book comes out, we'll read it, and then we'll know.

She actually did mention that one of the characters was going to die before she killed off Sirius. I remember reading on her website that she came in and told her husband, "Well, I did it." And that was before the book actually came out. If you think Dumbledore can't be wrong, then Sirius is dead. No two ways about it.

She did do somethings intentially. She made Teddy Lupin's parents die so the reader could see that Teddy had a happy childhood, unlike Harry's childhood. I think that Ginny and Lily Luna's introductions were supposed to be similar because it shows how Harry and Albus' introductions to Hogwarts were similar. Harry and Albus both had problems with getting sorted into Slytherin. The people that Harry met on the way, such as his only hearing that bad wizards go into Slytherin, made him prejudice when the sorting hat wanted to place him in Slytherin. However, after Harry found out about Severus loving his mom, he found respect for Slytherin and told his youngest son that it was ok to be sorted into Slytherin. I don't know if the pattern of Voldemort's Avada Kedavra rebounding had anything to do with history repeating itself. However, she may have wanted the battle of Harry and Voldemort to end the same way it started. Harry didn't have to use the killing curse against Voldemort, and yet, Voldemort was killed.

no. I mean Sirius was one of my fav. characters same with Dumbledore but I don't think they'll come back. JK Rowling obviously had some reason for killing them off. It'd be TOO unreal if they came back from the dead.

I recently read an interview where she had said the Dumbledore was, for sure, dead. Sirius, however, is still up in the air. I can't imagine how he could really be dead because he fell through a doorway. . .

Nah. I hope Dumbeldore is really alive. She did mention maybe killing Harry so that nobody could write more books after this one. that would be great if Sirius came back!!
