I thought Saw was quite scary, blair with too, but I think Lost Highway is the scariest and most disturbing film i've seen-even though it's not classed as horror

This question gets asked quite regularly!
I agree with the answers that named EVENT HORIZON-- it is VERY scary. Also the RING series is quite scary. But the scariest one has to be the original "talkie" of THE MUMMY with Boris Karloff as the mummy. With no budget for special effects the scenes in the pool of Karloff getting his tongue ripped out and being buried alive remain horrifying today!

I'm scared of scary films but was very brave and watched (or rather peered round a cushion sometimes!!) a film about a ship that was haunted by passengers & crew killed during a robbery. The woman from the abyss was in it. It was very scary!!

Steven King's It (although I think it was a two part tv film rather than a 'proper' film).
I actually started to watch the corners of the dark bedroom that night and I was a fully grown adult!

The first time i saw Blair Witch is was pretty freaky, and anything Japanese like Ju-On or Ringu.
I am a big fan of horror and have been since i was a kid. When a film can still scare me i love it

i can't say. horror is my least favorite genre of movies. but i have seen the following three and they were real scary and real gross;
tales from the hood
bones
tamara(i saw a clip that made my skin crawl)
bones is probably the scariest.
