Walked in my house, layed the keys on the kitchen table, went to get them 2 hours later and they were gone. Have searched my whole house and car. A week after they were gone, a check I set on the table disappeared. I was sitting at the table, got up to get my coat, turned around and the check was gone. I was the ONLY one home both times. I need help please! What is going on???

Things don't just disappear, although they sure seem to at times! I can't count how many times I've absent-mindedly stuffed something into a pocket or drawer - only to tear the place apart looking for it, give up, then come across it days later when I'm looking for something else. Try looking in odd places - you've already tried the logical ones - who knows what you'll find!
