Archana, please understand that marriage is a very sacred institution. It’s supposed to be a lifetime bond between two people with intentions of starting a family i.e. having children. It also involves the extended families…in-laws etc. Basically a lot of people are involved who become very precious to you both. Anything that causes friction in your marriage will adversely affect all these people, especially innocent children. The point I am trying to make is don’t carry any excess baggage into your marriage. ‘A boy friend whom you call just a friend’ is just what I would call ‘excess baggage.’

Archana, it seems that you are not thinking right. Friends play a very important role in our lives. You need the support of a friend even after you married. Marry as you need to, yet stop the friendship with the boyfriend who's only a pal. He would grow to be more beneficial that your pal and also you marriage will be on the rocks.
