Watched her being interviewed in the morning news and she stops hiccupping when she talks. When she resumes breathing, it comes back. WIll she break the world record ?

The Guinness World Record for the longest continuous bout of hiccups (1922–1990) goes to Charles Osborne (1894–1991) from Anthon, Iowa. The hiccups started in 1922 at a rate of 40 times per minute, slowing to 20 and eventually stopping in February 1990 – a total of 68 years.[5]

Hiccups are caused by too much oxygen in the blood so the best way is to breath Carbon Dioxide to burn up the oxygen bubbles. Thats why people breath in and out of a paper bag.

I watched that the poor girl. What I do though it was kinda mentioned is hold my breathe and take 13 sips of water it is probably a mental thing but it always works for me. I hate the hiccups they hurt so bad, I cannot imagine havine them 3 weeks +.

I had hiccups that lasted a few days. The only thing that worked for me was a remedy that my Grandfather suggested: take a heaping teaspoon of granulated sugar and swallow it all at once. This stopped my hiccups.

I heard you're supposed to eat a spoon full of peanut butter, but right now i might not trade Hiccups for Salmonella.. should work though, always has for me and the kids.

Best cure i've ever known for hiccups is to drink as much water as you can in one breath while someone holds your ears closed. Cures it every time!

Fill a glass one-fourth full of water and put 2 matches out in the water(do not leave the matches in the water),drink the water.See if that helps.

Bend her over and stick it to her good evertime time she hiccups after awhile she will get off and stop hiccuping....lol

My hiccup cure works everytime for me. Hold your breath, and swollow as many times as you can. Its harder than you think it would be. But always works!
