Drink chamomile tea with honey...it's always good for a dry cough...which I had only a few weeks ago.
Having a spoonful of honey will soothe your throat, which will make it feel really nice. Macaroni and Cheese worked for me, too. Just have some cold, soothing things or applesauce...that really made my throat feel so cool and refreshing.
Always spit out your phlegm. It'll clear up your throat faster and you'll feel better faster. Drink plenty PLENTY of fluids, and suck on some ice, too. Ice does the trick. Hope your dry cough goes away, and get well soon!

if you are having a constant dry cough that is really bothersome, see your doc. could be something going on in your lungs. i had a dry cough and come to find out i had lung nodules. not to scare you, but scar tissue in your lungs can make you constantly cough.

Take a hot shower.
But home remedies are not as effective as guianefsin and dextromethorphan.

5 gms. of kitchen salt.put in your mouth three times a day
& enjoy. take a glass of water after 1 hour.
