Please elaborate.. Do you still open the door for her, pull the chair for her, hold her hand as she steps out of the car, etc?

to be a gentleman, one has to to romance and love. I do the normal things like open doors, pull out the chair, and help with the coat. But I go further, I make bubble baths for my wife with candle light all around. I make breakfast for her and serve her in bed with a rose in a vase on it. Write poems and leave them in envelopes around the house. I buy romantic movies and have us watch them when the kids are asleep. Take the kids and we clean the house and then go shopping fr the house so she can have a day off. I love my dearly and will do anything to light up her life and make love grow.

This is a Daddy Mac secret; but yes, I do those things. However...I don't do them very early in a relationship (while courting). I found that this only raises her expectations too high and she gets her accustom to this type of treatment. That is not to say the women does not deserve this type to treatment. But, this way allows for two things (1) shows the man that the women is independent and is looking for a male companion; not some guy that does things for her; and (2) saves the man from future headaches called "You don't do the things you used to" or "Before we got together you used to..."

And besides, if you wait until later in the relationship than the woman will appreciate it more and feel more special when these things are done.

So, I am a not an early but a sometimes guy; but other guys just don't and some do all the time.

Yes, I do all the things you listed. I also offer my handkerchief if she sneezes and escort her to the car door. I guess there aren't very many of us gentlemen left. Sadly, it seems a lot of ladies don't appreciate it when we do some of these things.

Hey hey do you remember a few weeks ago when Dallas was in Seattle? And then Romo went in to hold the snap at the end of the 4th quarter for the game winning field goal? Remember? Do you remember that Romo did nothing but hold snaps for the first half of the season? Do you remember? How about do you remember when he dropped the snap and got destroyed trying to run it in, do you? Oh man I remember.

But to answer you question every time I'v given the chance.

Indeed. I believe in chivalry and 'the code of the rose' still. Once a romantic, always a romantic. ; )
