Yes, FDR and Abraham Lincoln both used extraordinary means to win war and protect innocent civilian. If FDR was in Iraq the Dem's would not be talking about a withdrawal.

Could be that FDR would do that. He was a President that didn't take chances on what could be & acted on what had happened. Although he did put the japanese into camps to protect the country from Japanese sabtours, it proved to be non exsistant. I'm not quite sure how long they spent in those camps, perhaps 3 years, they were released & many Japanese men joined the armed services of this country & served honorably with many awards for valantry to this country.
The Japanese who were sent to those camps, lost everything, homes, furniture, keepsakes etc. Several years ago, those still living were awarded $20,000. in reperation for what they had lost. Not nearly enough.

Had 9/11 happened in the 40's, I'm sure it would have. It's impossible to know what FDR or anyone from the past would do today.

And if all Muslims were in camps right now, then the U.S. government would probably have to lock up people from other nations as well, because America wouldn't just be at war with Iraq.

Not just Japanese
Sure we hear about them because they yelled loudest.
20K Germans were also tossed in and several thousand Italians.
Don't confuse Wheel Chairs and Democrat with weakness. FDR kicked.
I'm with Tom Brokaw on his greatest generation ever theory.

Since muslims were around in his day, and many muslim countries were fighting against the US and its allies in WWII, it looks like the answer to your question is NO. He didn't do it then when the situation was even worse so your little hate-the-Democrats analogy kind of falls apart.

No, because he would have learned from the internment mistake of 60+ years ago.

Yeah that was the only mistake. But he was the best president you've ever had. I love Roosevelt. He is so unlike Bush.
