How can you tell if your lymph nodes are swollen? Would the pain in your neck hurt real bad?

You should be able to feel them with your fingers. And lymph nodes are spread all over the body, not just near throat. The pain in your neck could be some other thing. If you can't decide, better to see the doctor.
