Unfortunately it's a scam. There's lots of similar scams operating telling people they've won money, been left money in a will, have won a lottery etc.

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is a genuine bank. The registered address is 36 St Andrew Square, Edinburgh, EH2 2YB. It's quite possible that 42 St Andrew Square is one of their offices in which case the address is real.

The e-mail address is fake - it's a free e-mail that anyone can set up. If it came from the RBS it would be something like "admin @ rbs.co.uk"

If you're ever unsure about anything like this then phone the organisation in question - don't use a phone number from the e-mail but look up the correct number yourself.

If you want to report this to the RBS please use this link... http://www.rbs.co.uk/security/report_fraud.htm

You haven't won money. It is a lie.
However, the address is for real.
This is the latest attempt by the scammers to make you think they are for real.
THEY ARE NOT.

since when do you win money from banks!?
it sounds dodgy to me so i suggest you visit a local branch for advice.
i use an address finder for my business and when i put in that postcode it didn't bring anything up which was strange as that's the first time it's ever done that.
if it is asking for you to pay any money or call any number DO NOT do it!! it may well be a scam so be wary.

dont think a bank would email you to say youd won money somehow. Have you any connection with this Bank? If not its def a scam. If you do, phone them instead.
