I'm not sure but I think its suppose to make you look like you have sharp features & its suppose to involve contouring your jaw & cheeks....

Contouring is the use of highlights and shading to change the face. It can be used for things such as make the nose appear more symmetrical, enhance cheek bones and many other things. It can be used to sharpen or soften features.

Basically you are using the shadows and highlights to trick the eye into seeing a different shape. Contouring should be done subtly and sparingly or it will look fake. Blending is extremely important. Also a good understanding of how shadows and highlights create shapes is needed.

ummmm......look at Michael Jackson......you might want to rethink face contouring.
