I think that yes, things do "disappear" in the Bermuda Triangle, but in the supernatural, creepy way. My personal belief is that the events are caused by unusual, fluctuating magnetic patterns in the area. This could cause the failure of electronic navigation equipment and possibly electric machinery, which we depend on so much today, as well as magnetic compasses, owing to disappearances of the past. Possibly an archaic and obsolete ship relying on charts and sextants to navigate could successfully traverse the Triangle. This magnetic idiosyncrasy could be the cause of unnaturally frequent storms, thereby effectively causing craft to evanesce. Perhaps the magnetism would corrupt photographic film, causing a red sky to appear blue.
I personally support this theory and find it to be most deductively feasible.
It's either this or the kraken of Norwegian legend.

I don't think stuff really disappears because my sis and my dad went right through it on a cruise ship.
Does weird stuff happen there??? YES!!!! My dad took a picture of a blood red sky that was taken in the direct ceter of the Bermuda Triangle, and he said that by the time they got the camera back in the case after taking it, it was back to being a normal blue sky.

This article from the Straight Dope (a very reliable column) describes the facts surrounding several disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle, and gives possible explanations: http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a3_067.html

It's fact that things disappear in the Bermuda triangle, in the
Great Lakes and other places around the world. The question is,
is there a logical explanation and if so when are we going to
recover them. The answer is -- who knows??

the ships and airplanes are really disappear in bermuda triangle.
the region in bermuda triangle has stormy climate which by scientists believe as the cause of disappearing of ships.
it has nothing to do with supranatural power. the media are over-expose it, because in the other parts of world oceans ships and airplanes can be dissapeared too.

There is a forest in fuji Japan and anyone who goes inside never comes back out. once every year the police tie a rope around each other and go in pulling out dead bodys, its a sure way to die. even if you get scared you cant find your way out and die in the wilderness. many believe the reason compasses wont even work is that an metorite crashed there years ago and messes up magentic and electric equipment. maybe for the same reasons people and things disapear inside of the triangle

I personally believe they do.
I was watching the Discovery channel once and they said that hundreds of ships and planes disappear every year and neither the wreckage nor the people are ever found. A bit mindboggling don't you think?
Not to mention that my family is from the Caribbean, and they believe in it. My grandma says that all the people that have disappeared are living down in Atlantis. Who knows.....

I'm not sure. Maybe they just got lost. I'd like to know what happened to Amelia Earnhardt though.
