Some people in central Texas spray the outside of their trailer with honey (through a paint sprayer from Lowes) and quickly sprinkle with St. Augustine seeds (bulk sacks). The result looks like a chia-pet, and qualifies the trailer owner for a ranch tax status.

ps. Can also be used on automobiles to reduce UV and glare from fading T-tops.

Could you elaborate, are you looking to grow sod, build a third world grass and mud hut, or are you looking to build a compost heap from old sod.

If you are looking to grow sod you need a green house.

If you are looking to build a mud and grass hut you need A LOT of sod and clay mud.

A compost heap is as simple as piling up old leaves and sod. If you want it built into a structure than you want an 8 foot tall 5x5 wooden box, all you do is put yard waste in it and leave an opening on the bottom so that you can dig it out as it rots.

Most of the ones I've seen are homes built underground with glass fronts. I live in Ohio and in some of the southern counties of the state, they are built on the side of a hill.
