Relax. It's what we called, hormonal imbalance (might be due to stress).

Stress is a big factor in a change in your menstrual cycle. I actually experienced what the doctor's called a false pregnancy. I had no period for a few months, gained a lil wait , had cravings, breast tenderness. After I changed my daily routine, quit stressing and and started dieting my cycle started back as normal. Endometriosis can also cause an abnormal cycle. You should do some research into this.

Frankly, I am surprised that your doctors arn't concerned.

I doubt, however, that you are already going through menopause already. I could be wrong, but you seem way too young. There can be many other reasons for missed periods though. These are mostly hormonal disorders, such as thyroid problems (hyperthyroidism, such as grave's disease). Also, diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome (yet another hormonal disease) can lead to missed periods, and eventually to type 2 diabetes. I don't mean to scare you with this next possibility, but it also could be an STD. Certain STDs, such as Chlamydia can provide way to infertility. Stess or sickness (such as many infections recently) however, are the leading causes of missed periods.

As I always say, see a doctor. You probably should see a specialist about this if you haven't already, Regular doctors don't always know.

I wish you good luck,

Oh my god, I'm going through the same thing. My last period was in November also---weird hugh?? I've been thinking too that I am going through the change of life because at night I have horrible hot flashes and I am only 33 years old. I've even asked a nurse that works with me what could cause this and she said NURVES!!! but for this long---it's the middle of February already.....

You could be going through perimenapause.
Many other things can cause a hormone flux as well though...any time you cycle makes a change that is not normal for you you should check it out.
This is not uncommon if it perimenopause but if that is the case there are things that the doctor can do for you.
