Depends where you are reading it from. Personal horoscopes using your info can be rather accurate.
Reading from a magazine or newspaper - NAH. There are a million Aries out there reading the same horoscope - are they all going to have the same lucky day?

No, you shouldn't believe daily horoscopes. They work on a general level and therefore - if the Astrologer making them up is talented enough - might only go up for about 2.5% of that 'star sign'.
The people who make up horoscopes use astrology as a basis for their horoscopes, but where a personal horoscope, complete with all the planets involved etc, will be more suitable for you, a daily horoscope is meant for simply the 12 signs of the zodiac, regardless of what day and year they were born.
The time and date, AND place of birth are the things that separate you personally from all your sign-mates. The set-up of the horoscope of your birth will turn out different from say, if you're a Cancer, a Cancer born on a different day and a different year from you. Because the 'star sign' is just the sign the sun is in at your time of birth. But in a personal horoscope chart, there is much more than just the sun in a sign. So that sign only makes up roughly about 1/10 of your character. So technically you'll only be 1/10 a Cancer, in the example I gave earlier.
That's why horoscopes don't always come true for you.
Now another reason why they might not be true for you, but could be true for someone else, is because most astorlogers use transiting planets to make up the daily horoscopes. For example, say Neptune has just entered Aquarius and therefore would Square Scorpio, it only squares anything in the first 2° of Scorpio, and the last 2° of Libra. That's how it would be in a personal horoscope, so if for example, you were born in mid-November, you will have the sun at about 20° Scorpio - and you would be... A Scorpio, of course. But anyone born on October 24th, will have their sun at 0°, or even 1° Scorpio.
Now those people would actually have the transiting Neptune square to their natal Sun, and they might feel the effect of Neptune on their ego. Whereas you wouldn't, because Neptune doesn't aslect your sun at all.
But still, what astrologers do when they make up a horoscope for Scorpio in general, they use that transiting aspect and then they would come up with something along the lines of this;
"Scorpio, you will do some serious soul searching from now on. You feel lonely inside..." etc etc. But of course, you, as the 20° sun Scorpio wouldn't be doing that, only those who have neptune aspecting their sun.
Hope that explains why you shouldn't believe your daily horoscope.

Astrology uses science but is not a science. Constancy is crucial for science and in astrology ther is none.
Key word is "believe". The way I look at it it is better to know rather than blindly believe. If it sounds too good to be true, it likely not true. But we have access to the same Internet so it may worth the time to investigate. These claims can and have been tested. (see links)
There is also the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF) that offers a million dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event.

Depends...astrology is a science and when taken seriously can be quite accurate. It is not meant to predict the future, which is where most people are mistaken...but it can describe personalities based on where the stars were positioned at the time of your birth. The same way the moon affects the tides, the stars affect people. Astrology is a very complex subject and most people don't realize that your sun-sign (the sign most people refer to themselves as being) is only a small fraction of your entire astrological chart.

No, you can't believe a horoscope. It is NOT a science. Whoever said that makes me laugh. Its the same thing as fortune cookies, they just say a lot of things that are true for everyone. Like "You desire freedom"... oh really? You're right! I do desire freedom!
Give me a break.

it is all down to interpretation. It would be impossible to be accurate for all the millions of people in the world. You would have to be God status or higher!!! Uncontrollable outside pressures also have an effect on what paths we travel and of course the choices you make in life leaves a permanant lasting mark on us. It's a case of "shall I take high or the low road". Not all roads lead to the same destination!!!

Sometimes. Well, I used to read my horoscope all the time. I was like really paranoied when it was bad. I learned not to believe it because it never ccame true. I read from a girly magazine so it had a bunch of lies. So, it really depends where youm get it from.
Hope this helps.

I don't think so...would you believe your horoscope from your local paper or would you believe the one online for the same day, or what about the one in a rival newspaper for the same day? Which one would you choose? Which one in the country? Which one in the world? The best one? If you are so interested in believing in one, get yourself a fortune teller or an astrologest and talk to him/her for your personal forcast.

I try not to read horoscopes because sometimes they will make you curtail your whole day towards them. The thing to do is read in to Astrology and Numerology they will give you better insight into lift instead of living on the edge to see what the internet or newspaper says you day holds.

I felt the need to leave you some quotes to ponder ok : )
The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.
The aim of education is the knowledge not of fact, but of values.
Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.
Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it.
Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held.
Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books.
Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin.
Believe nothing just because someone else believes it.
Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true
Love & Blessings
