No, I'm no expert but it doesn't sound very likely to me...

I first heard about this years ago in an article about twins in The New Yorker magazine. I don't remember the year but I think it was before 1997 . I have no idea if it is true but I do think it's fascinating. I have cousins that are twins and one is left handed and a left handed friend that is a twin. I'm left handed but not a twin. When I first heard about it kind of made sense to me but if all of the answers here are true then it is obviously not true all the time. I'd love to hear statistics on how many pairs of twins have one lefty.

the theory states that if you are left handed that you DID actually have a twin. As a fetus your twin suddenly disappeared , being absorbed back into the mothers body, That is know as disappearing fetus syndrome. Its a real thing. But being left handed dosent really mean that you had a twin.

I'm left handed and Gemini. My mother, left handed and Taurus told me that twinning runs in her family. Guess thats how it came out this time! Better start saving up now...

I'm ambidextrous. Should I have been a triplet? What happened to my siblings? What is going on here? Somebody has been lying to me. I bet it's a conspiracy and a government cover-up. Right now someone is experimenting with my siblings. Probably robbing them of stem cells as we speak. Maybe even creating clone armies to pass out to brothels in other countries. Jeez, now I'll be thinking about this all day long.
Thanks a lot.

My nephews are IDENTICAL twins. They are both right handed.
When i first started writing, i was left handed, but now, i write with my right (school made me change - which i now think was out of order).
