Did he realize that it would create a haven for sexual predators, hate groups, smut etc etc?

Or have I been lied to when they said he invented the internet?

Al Gore certainly did not invent the Internet. Al Gore is a moron of large proportions. He is one of those hypocrites that rides around in gas guzzling limousine, but than preaches back at us with Global Warming propaganda

Al Gore did not invent the Internet but he supported initiatives that helped with the creation.

As for the haven to sexual predators, hate groups, smut, etc..., the Internet is only a tool/conduit that can be neither good/evil. A car can be used for either but it is ultimately the driver who is responsible. If people didn't demand the "seedy" content, providers wouldn't exist (well at least not for long).

Al Gore didn't invent the internet. Tim Berners Lee did.

There's probably a wikipedia page on him. Try this

You have most certainly been lied to. He didn't. Nor did he claim that he did. The quotes are taken out of context. Get the WHOLE text of what he said.
