My top 5 picks

5. Double Jeopardy-Ashley Judd plays a wife of a politician who frames her for murder. She comes back with a vengeance and wins (of course).

4. Cruel Intentions-Reece Witherspoon sells out Sarah Michelle Gellar so perfectly in the end when she loses the man she loves(and loved till most recently) Ryan Phillippe

3. Enough-Jennifer Lopez as a vengeful beaten wife plans and schemes to make sure her overprotective, unfaithful(and open about it too, ) husband cant hurt her or her daughter ever again. Best fight scene I have ever seen!

2. First Wives Club-Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, & Diane Keaton join together after a old friends death to seek revenge on the ex-husbands who left them for younger women. (hilarious..."Don't get mad, get everything!") A must see.

And my final pick...

1. Carrie-(Steven King) I don't even have to explain it!

***Please share your faves, in case I missed a few!

Hate me, but I love "She Devil" with Rosanne and Meryl Streep. I just love how she puts her hubby in his place. And when he does the same thing to Meryl and she finds out, icing on the cake!

Okay. Here's a few(not in order of importance):
1.The Chinese Connection...who's better to carry a grudge than Bruce Lee? There's a remake called Fist of Legend by Jet Li, and now you think: who's better to carry a grudge than Jet Li?
2. License to Kill...Imagine James Bond with all the usual resources at his disposal to go after a drug leader who almost killed his best friend.
3. The Princess Bride...Well, not exactly a revenge movie, but the phrase is now a classic:"Hello, my name is Iñigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
4. Enter The Dragon...This time Bruce Lee even asks forgiveness from his mother for crossing the line. Imagine the kind of revenge he's after.
5. V for Vendetta...You can't convince me that he's just after dropping the dictator. Yeah, right.
6. She-Devil...A revenge comedy. Imagine that.
7. Kill Bill Vol I and II...The best!!! Revenge Tarantino style!
8. The Punisher...(Both versions)I especially like it when the avenger kills EVERYONE from the evil side.
9. The Crow...(First and second. After that it loses impulse. The last two are only to fill space.)I almost forgot the ONE film that definitely defines the genre. Revenge from beyond the grave! Thanks to Loser for including it in HIS list.
If I think of another I'll add to the list later.

I think the Punisher is one of the best. It is also one of the better comic book adaption movies that didn't need all the special effects.

Soldier with Kurt Russell was pretty good too, when he does get the opportunity to fight back against the newer soldiers that took his place

You obviously have not seen Old Boy, because it blows all those movies out of the water. It is a Korean movie, and it is so good. It is going to get remade in American. But if you do watch it, which you absolutely should, you have to watch it in Korean, because the dubbed voices ruin it. Old Boy. Rent it tonight!
