Anyone else think the acting in Hollywoodland and Black Dahlia was pathetic?

I think these two movies showcased the lack of quality in acting today. The popular actors are incapable of pulling of the Film Noir style. I was hoping for LA Confidential but these movies were horrible.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. I think more effort went into the scenery and costumes than the actual content. If only clothes could act...

Hollywoodland was ok with me... a little slow-paced but good all around performances in my opinion.

i couldn't agree more about Black Dahlia however. the only good performance was the blonde detective.

everyone else just plain stunk
