Or should I go somewhere else? I'm in the mall, near a small earring place - should I do it? And it just stings a bit, right?

That's where I got mine pierced and I haven't had any problems. If you'd be more comfortable go somewhere else. Yeah, it stings a little, but it's not bad.

I would suggest you go to a tattoo and piercing parlor. As an example of the guns the mall kiosks use to pierce....take a piece of paper and hold it taut and poke a pen or pencil through it. You'll notice the back of the paper kind of "blows out"...that is essentially what happens to your ear with the piercing gun. A proper piercing will use a hypodermic needle (one-use and sterilized) to make a hole. It will actually remove the skin creating the hole for the earring. I think it hurts far less than the guns they use at the mall.

It relies upon on the adventure the persons have, no longer a lot how a lot it prices. I were given my first holes done at Claire's and they were crooked (no longer sufficient that it grow to be referred to till I went to my second holes) yet they did not get contaminated. My second holes were done at a Piercing Pagoda kiosk in the mall (once you've them everywhere you stay) besides the undeniable fact that the single ear saved getting contaminated so I had to enable it close. basically make certain they understand what they are doing everywhere you bypass and also you'd be effective.

I have had my ears pierced at the mall 2 time. First time was when i was very, very young, so young i can't remember. And the second was when i was eight. And so far both of them are fine.

I think you should go for it. And it really only pinches for a a bit. After you get it done don't lay on that side though... it might hurt for a few days.

I wouldn't see why it would be, I got mine pierced by Claire's..which wasn't a Kiosk, but just a random mall store. If the price is right and they don't seem shady..i.e. They use sterile equipment, and clean your ears with alcohol and do what seems like standard procedures, i'd say go for it.

I see no problem with mall kiosks, as long as you do your homework about the place first.

Um, I don't know. I got my ears pierced at Claires. They are very sanitary, and can provide you with all the supplies you need to start with. As for the pain issue, I was terrified, thinking it would hurt a lot. But don't worry about it. It's not nearly as bad as getting a shot, it's more like somebody giving you a little pinch.

Yah...no problem getting it done at the mall. That is where I got
mine done.....all 3 times.

Yes, it stings for a split second and then your ears throb, but
not a painful throb and you its uncomfortable to lay on the side
of your head for a couple days.

As long as they are licenced professionals, there shouldnt be a problem. If there is a problem contact the manager or corprate offices!

Lobes dont really hurt its quick and relitively painless. Cartilage is a bit worse but still not that bad.
