If you mean that it's saying it's missing or corrupt, try running a chkdsk off of your windows CD. You put it in, boot off of it, wait for a few minutes while it loads things, and hit R. It brings up a command prompt. Hit the corresponding number to your C drive and hit enter again unless you have an administrator password that you know of. Then type this: Help Chkdsk it'll bring up a menu with two options. Then you can type Chkdsk C: /r (I'm not sure what the letter is, it's the second one that it tells you about under Help chkdsk). I had a similar problem twice before, once just yesterday, and this saved me.

its missing a system 32 file. basic windows file. put in a OS Cd and reboot the computer and select the option which says to fix the os...

Operating system files are corrupt. Boot from the Windows CD and repair your installation.

It is one of the start up OS (operating system) files, sounds like the hard drive has failed. It not your fault but needs to be replaced. Go to your local PC shop.
