Or do what most technicians do on a road test and put the passengers seatbelt into the drivers buckle.

My mate has the same issue with his Mondeo. What I would do is buy the Haynes manual and find the speaker that makes the beep and cut the lead to it.

You have to bypass the switch in the latch. Why not just put the damn thing on!
