Hard to say. He certainly isn't a first round pick. Maybe early second round. The only chance he might have in the first round is if he's available by the 26th pick. If so I think the Philadelphia Eagles might take him. They seem to be having a developing quarterback situation.

My best guess is the Browns might take gamble on him at the top of the 2nd round. He is not 1st round material (and probably not 2nd either) but the Browns need to address the QB spot and Smith would be a popular pick in Ohio. They may not be willing to see if he slides to the 3rd round (also they could look to trade to the middle of the 2nd to pick him). Near the bottom of the 2nd some teams like Baltimore, KC, Bears, or Jacksonville may take a look at him. Some might even pick him as an athlete (Slash type player) and see where he pans out best like New England or Pittsburgh. If he does slide to the 3rd then Cleveland will not pass again, to good a publicity move to let him by the 3rd round for them.

Well with Oakland having the first pick and making as major investment in Aaron Brooks (not smart) I gotta think that they're gonna either take the OT from Wisconsin or trade down for more picks and then Detriot is gonna go with the stable pick of Brady Quinn. I really think that Cleveland will take Troy Smith. Keep him in state and try and set up another Lebron type marketing scheme.

Cleveland will take him with their 2nd round pick. They will take Peterson in the first round and Smith in the second. I think Smith has first round talent, but the scouts do not like his height.
For those people that say he isn't any good based on his stats from the National Championship and the Senior Bowl, you are wrong. Ohio State had not played in like 7 weeks. I can tell you from experience (and I was only a fullback not a quarterback) that it is hard to go out and play well after having just a couple weeks away from game speed. It is impossible to simulate the speed of the game in practice. Smith should be talked about with Russel and Quinn as being a possibility for the first 2 picks. As a Bears fan I think he would be a steal for us at the end of the first round, but I don't think anyone is willing to gamble and Cleveland will take him in the second only to please fans.

Eagles should pick him in the 2nd round if the Browns pass on him so that if McNabb goes down with an injury he could replace him. Maybe the falcons should get him the 2nd round to cause Vick sucks and Smith'll be a running QB

I have been asking this question too lol. Nobody has him as a first round pick. I dont even think teams want him as a QB. He might have to pull an " Randle El". I can see him going to San Fran tho, I maybe because they took Robinson last year and made him an RB.

Well the highest chances will be either him going to the Texans, Lions, or Browns. Normally the first pick in the draft goes to the team with the worst record in the previous season. The Texans already had their pick. But if you ask me its down between the Raiders or the Lions in the 2nd round

I figure he will go in the third round to a team that needs a developmental Qb and a team that isn't afraid to have a running Qb. I could imagine him going to Houston or Seattle or Detroit or Miami.
