Colorado Springs is real slow with snow storms. We have had 3 so far since Autumn. The only plow the rich peoples roads houses $500,000 or higher and only some of the basic roads. So we would slide from one side of the road to the other side of the road. It's really bad that the main road out of the housing area wasn't even plowed and everyone just left there cars in the road.
Oh, ya the snow is finely melting here in CO

I moved from upstate NY to get less snow. I am on the Eastern Shore of MD. We got a thin cooating of ice here and then rain. Across the river they got several inches of ice. Across the Bat they got up to 6 inches of ice. Power is still out. Schools are still closed.
My daughter teaches in Syracuse and is off for the 3rd day. Watertown has been off longer. My other daughter that teaches in Binghamton stayed home only one day, but says the roads are still terrible. A friend from NY just called and says they are still snowed in.

From the Bay Area in California I do not get snow but in the Sierras a few hours east of me, they were saying they were gonna have a drought last week to saying there are problems of avalanches occuring. My state has been trying to get the levies in the central valley of the state up to present time so they don't break if it floods again.
If it snowed in my city no one would know what to do. People could barely drive with all the ice we had from out freeze.

Yah, I live in Southern California.......where (depending on how you look at it) we are fortunate to not have to snow storms.
So I would have to say that things are being handled quite well here.
Although, some say I am crazy, but I would LOVE to live
where there is snow storms.........white Christmas.....
snow days, etc.......so I am a little jealous.
