It's probably a phobia. I know people who keep very large dogs but are terrified to the point of catatonia if a daddy long legs or even a common house fly comes near them! A phobia is an irrational fear and so the person can't help what they are afraid of!

i'd say they in all probability have a sturdy rationalization for why they experience that way. i used to be petrified of cats because of the fact there became into this one stray cat that became into pregnant, and every time i attempted to get into my apartment, she would run up and attack me - from quite a few feet away! She would only run top up, chomp down stressful on my leg and chew me. She drew blood! I did no longer something to influence her. nicely, I controlled to capture her after she had her kittens and took her to a rescue business enterprise who got here across her and the toddlers a house. She became into only being hormonal. besides, a 300 and sixty 5 days later, my daughter wanted a cat, so me, the canine-loving, canine-who prefer, cat-fearing mom, have been given my daughter a cat from the animal look after. And do you recognize what? She's between the sweetest cats I truthfully have ever been around. human beings base their fears usually circumstances on previous stories. possibly that they had no reason to concern scorpions & snakes, yet a great number of adventure to offer them reason to concern cats & canines.

They are from a place where many scorpions and snakes live, but not cats and dogs.
