PWB is Printed Wire Board.
They were commonly referred to as Printed Circuit Boards. The initials PCB have another more sinister meaning so the boards have been renamed.

Waving is the process in which liquid solder is applied to the under side of the circuit board.

Assembly is just what it sounds like, placing the components on the printed wiring board. Waving is applying the solder.

In US mfg jargon wave solder is the application of solder to the underside of a populated board via a conveyor over a bath of liquid solder.
