Charleston (SC) is one of the oldest city's in the United States, It was the site of numerous battles in both the civil and Revolutionary wars, and also a major place of the slave trade. Also if I remember correctly Charleston Fort was used as a prison for POW during the revolution where "interrogations" took place. Assuming you live nearby I suggest taking the Battery Tour (assuming they still offer it, I took it about 20 years ago) if you are really interested in the history, and Hunting's of Charleston

Charleston is a city rich in history and traumatic events...I've read that hauntings are people that haven't finished with life and because this city has the history it does, alot of the people that died there were killed or died before their time.
