Actually, a breastfeeding child is often the only one in the family NOT to come down with a cold. The reason: you are passing antibodies to him/her through your breastmilk.

Everyone else is right, you should contine breastfeeding to pass immunities. And just wash your hands.

But what I really wanted to ask you is whether the pain has improved? Did you get some help?

Hope things are going better and I hope you feel better soon.

It is possible. But, breast milk has antibodies which help protect baby from colds, etc. Keep breast feeding and make sure that if you take something for your cold, that it is ok to take the drug while nursing. This happened to me. I was sick and was still breast feeding. My daughter never got the cold. Hope you feel better soon.

Your baby will be less likely to catch the cold if you continue breastfeeding. The antibodies in the breastmilk help your baby's immune system, and can prevent baby from catching your cold :)

Maybe, maybe not. Breastfeeding passes on good immunities to baby - don't stop doing it!

More likely, the baby would get sick from you sneezing or coughing on her or not washing your hands after you sneeze or cough. To be on the safe side - wash your hands before you pick up the baby.

He/she might. Cold germs are passed in different ways. It's an old wives tale that your breastfed baby wont get sick..that's simply not true..antibodies or not.
