My Grandad was a head chef on the queen mary and just was interested in finding out more about him.

How wonderful you're trying to learn more about your Grandad. I think you'll be so glad you did.

Most employers won't simply give out lists of employee names. Fortunately, you don't really need a list of staff because you already know he worked there. To get more info on your Grandad, I would google

Queen+Mary+ship

To get the contact info. for the liners administration. Then write them a letter telling them you're interested in learning more about your Grandad, [insert his name], who worked in catering on the liner around [insert dates here] could they please help?

Have you tried the Cunard office here in London? You could either go to their website or try writing to them. You can simply address your letter to : Cunard, Canada House, Giltspur Street, Trafalgar Square, London SW1. This is probably not the real postal address, but the Royal Mail will deliver it, no problem. The address I have given above is the actual location [more or less] of Cunard HQ in London.
