There probably other gay players in the NBA, but does it really matter? The US was finally getting close, after Amaechi came out, to finally maybe have a current player or two come out, which would have sparked a new era of pro sports, where sexuality doesnt matter. Unfortunately Tim Hardaway had to ruin the entire thing with his comments. I think in 50 years, people will look back at the Gay Rights movement and point to Tim Hardaway as one of the men who slowed it down.

Of course there are other gays in the NBA. Why do you have to know? To single them out and bash them? Peoples say gay bashing type statements all the time never knowing that the person standing right beside them is gay, be it their co-worker, son, daughter, cousin, or best friend. Gays have to listen to a lot of jokes and bashing about them all the time and have to normally stand there and not say a word unless they want to get verbally bashed or have their head literally bashed in or risk getting fired. In some ways it's worse for gays than minorities. Minorities don't normally get to hear a majority of the race remarks towards their race so they don't have to listen to them and try keeping their temper. Gays have to sit and listen through the majority of bashing remarks towards them and still try to hold their temper and not say a word. And minorities can't legally get fired just because of their race. Gays can legally get fired in 33 states just because they are gay.
