definitely! i get giddy on almost an hourly basis over what a lot of people would call silly reasons:

- when my cat sneezes
- when i take that first drink of Pepsi after not having one for many hours
- when i'm in the theatre about to see a film i've been waiting months to see
- at 8.00 on Monday night when 24 is about to come on
- when i see on the sports ticker that my team won their game
- when i think about how HOT Trent Reznor is... DAMN!
- when i hear 'Music Is Power' by Richard Ashcroft

... just to name a few! : )

cheers,
Shauna!

YES. Just for the fact that I'm alive! Optimism is the KEY to happiness! Its true you can control the way you think, you CAN control your actions. But most of all...

I'm happy because Jesus loves me =]

Yes, when it's a really nice day outside and the wind blows threw my hair it makes me happy to know that God can do the smallest thing to make me happy.

Peace

Yep, I surely do feel happy at times w/o any particular reason. ;-) Sometimes it's just being outdoors, the cool, or warm breeze softly blowing thru my hair, seeing a small baby smiling & laughing, being the cause of someone else's happiness, making up a joke on the spur of the minute and causing others to laugh at the joke, hearing someone's sweet laughter, or singing to myself, hearing good music, feeling healthy and strong, looking good, having someone flirt with me, admiring me, or my adoring someone else, reading a good book, article, comic, e-mail from a friend far away, a good movie, my dog wagging it's tail when I come home, a good meal, nice smells, the start of snow, rain softly flowing down, ducks in a lake quacking merrily, reading the word of God and UNDERSTANDING it, having lost weight w/o suffering, swimming in clean water, ice skating, riding my bike, doing a puzzle, having a good conversation, getting good news at the doctor's office, finding a quarter on the ground, drinking a nice, cool Dr. Pepper or Root Beer Float, finding my car keys when I think they are lost., clean sheets to sleep on, winning a prize, lottery, getting funny greeting cards, my favorite TV shows, British comedy, playing Putt-Putt, bowling, being told I look pretty or sharp, seeing the gorgeous sunset, seeing geese fly overhead in formation, the beach, having my hair stroked, my neckk kissed, etc. being in the fast line at the stores, seeing a play or rodeo, concert, getting a hole in one, in golf, in basketball making the rebound throw, pearly white teeth & agreat smile, being able to see the colors of flowers, smelling their perfume, knowing my family is healthy, a photo coming out beautifully, seeing a rainbow, hearing my cat's purring, seeing wildlife out in the open, God's beauty, perfect weather, playing games with friends, feeling popular, loved, getting/giving hugs, having my answer on Yahoo be voted "best" answer, ;-), holding hands while on a nice walk, and a nice bubble bath with candles all around., :-) Just to name a few times, hope you feel tthe same!

Why should one need a reason?

If anything you should always have to explain yourself when you aren't happy.
