Looks something like a moose track. It's definitely cloven, but too long to be a deer's. Be sure to consider that old tracks in the snow can become larger or smaller as time passes and the snow changes.

I once thought a large dog's print was from a bear. Everyone had a good laugh at my expense. I live in Maine, too. I'll NEVER go back to the city.

I couldn't find "rheffertarial" in any dictionary. Wish "LOVE" would come back and tell us what it means.

Cant really tell.. in identifying tracks you need a point of reference to determine sixe and scale, also it is best to have a pic of the whole group of tracks as it is hard to tell what made certain tracks without seeing the pattern they are laid out in.

As I wild guess I would say it is actually a body print from a bird or maybe a squirrel.. since it looks so isolated, but I cant see any detail of the actual inside of the print so it is hard to say.. could also be deer or moose but again I cant really see the pic or know what size the track is or the stride pattern to come to a definite conclusion.

The tracks were lined one in front of the other, as in a hopping motion is the only way I can describe it. No, it's Maine so it has not been warm enough for any snow to melt. I wear a size 9 shoe and the tracks were almost as big as my own prints. Thanks, sis, for your assistance. Weird Maine, indeed.

I could see only one of the photos, and the track was not very clear. However I saw no signs of claw marks so it is definitely not a dog or coyote. I'd say it is cat track, probably a bobcat or a large feral cat, but possibly a mountain lion. Doc

Has it been warm enough for the snow to melt a bit? it looks like a deer track that has melted into another.
