Well, Socrates and Jesus Christ are the only two historical figures that never wrote anything...and became famous only through spoken word...but Socrates was executed as an old man on charges of pedophilia...Aristotle was his student and Plato a student of Aristotle...Sophocles was perhaps the original Greek tragedy writer...and Aristophanes...
but you have to go with Socrates....he made Greek thought and philosophy what it is today

i dont know any famous greeks personally but THE most famous greek would either have to be sophocles or aristotle

I know personaly or just who is the most famous? I dont know anyone personaly but to me the most famous is Ellen Degeneres.
