The only way to get good enough at making comics is to draw alot of them. If you keep drawing them for yourself, it's means you're inspired enough to think of new stories. Your drawing style will also improve greatly and the comics will look better and better as you keep doing them. Drawing comics is different from other types of drawing because you have to be able to draw fairly quickly, construct storyboards, etc. So really you get good at it by drawing alot of them, and by reading other comics to get a sense of how to do it (especially storyboard construction). When you're good, THEN you can start approaching publishers...

It also helps to improve your basic life-drawing skills by drawing people, furniture, or whatever you can...

There are several diffrent ways to learn more. Try looking at the styles of diffrent manga-kas or reading the numerous "how to draw ..." books. Also Shojo Beat and I believe Shonen Jump have tips and tricks of the trade in them. There are websites, try searching google and most imporntant observe daily life and start by drawing what you know and love. Make manga about that and you'll be a pro in no time.

Hehe, new competition for me! I would suggest you start off at deviantArt to try to be discovered. A user named spacecoyote on deviantArt drew a picture of the Simpsons anime style, and it was seen by Matt Groening himself (who was said to have loved it!). She is going to be in a newspaper now, and might be able to work on merchandising art for Futurama. So yeah. You have a GOOD chance of being discovered setting up an account there if you haven't already. Also, this is a very helpful website to learn how to make manga! It's got some really good tips and pointers, and has helped me a lot. - http://www.mangatutorials.com/
Also, if you feel ready, you might want to submit your artwork to Tokyopop's Rising Stars of Manga contest! I don't know when the next one is going to be, but keep checking Tokyopop's website ( http://www.tokyopop.com/ ) for updates if you are interested! If you have any more questions, feel free to email me at koori_karasu@yahoo.com! Good luck~!

I often tell young women... if someone is interested in them... to get married. One girl came back to say he can't because he doesn't know her, what should she do? I said, if he can't take a chance on you... you should never take a chance on him. Another young lady said her boyfriend wants to wait until he gets a good job and a nice house before he marries her. A few months later she came back to me for help. I said to her... why are you pregnant? Shouldn't you and your friend waited until he has a job and a home for the child? She said yes, but he dumped her. Anyway, to answer your question, at 19, if she's really intrested in you... you have nothing to worry about. Most women at that age is unstable... only because she doesn't know what she wants yet. In otherwords, she might also be interested in other things.
